Trusted by developers and founders worldwide.
Turn AI coding into a reliable part of your team’s workflow.
Why this Training?
A fresh look at AI first Coding
Adopting Agentic Coding not only has advantages for juniors to learn and get onboarded faster to your codebase. For seasoned developers, skills also scale with technical knowledge. Keep teams lean, aligned, and continuously upskilled with a whole new way to plan, build, and ship software.
Proven Real World Workflows
We apply solid software engineering practices and adopt them to real-world codebases with a human in the loop. Starting from Agentic Git Operations, project setup with guidelines and rules to context engineering, test, error debugging and ci/d workflows.
Happy & confident teams
It doesn't matter if you work in frontend, backend, DevOps, or even in requirements engineering or product management. You will learn new, faster, and more enjoyable ways to plan, build, and maintain software. Repetitive, slow parts get eliminated, and challenges become easier to solve.

About Me
My Name is Kevin Kern. I'm a software engineer and founder (Macherjek GmbH, instructa.ai) and Co-Founder (Kechit), born in Austria, living in Vienna.
With over 15 years in tech, I've collaborated with small startups and big corporate clients, gaining a wide range of insights into digital transformation and business growth.
Throughout my career, I've been involved in creating sophisticated websites, web apps, SaaS platforms, and e-commerce sites. My focus has always been on making these digital products stand out and helping businesses successfully transition into the digital realm.
I'm building instructa.ai, to help founders, designers and developers work smarter. Drop the repetitive tasks and focus on the real building gains.
What you’ll learn
Day 1
#1
The Agenic Coder. A fresh look at AI First Coding
Agentic Coding is a relief for software engineers. We will talk about how useful and enjoyable it can be to use agentic coding.
#2
Software & Tools Overview (Cursor vs VSCode, CodiClaude Code, Codex, ChatGPT)
I will show you the differences between existing coding agents so you can decide when to use CLI, IDE, or a code editor, and in which situations each is best.
#3
Agentic Coding in Practice
We’ll start with a fresh project right away. I will guide you through the project setup, agent rules, document ingestion, slash commands, Git setup, and logging.
Short break
#4
LLMs & Models
We'll discuss which LLM to use and when. We’ll cover context windows, how to keep up with weekly model updates, and how to decide when to use Claude, GPT, Grok, or other models.
#5
Prompt engineering
Learn how to prompt effectively and use English as your daily driver with the AI coding agent. You’ll see how to structure and format prompts to get the most out of them.
#6
Context Engineering
Especially in larger codebases, you need to maintain context for your coding agent. We’ll cover how to avoid context rot, and how to use available tools to stay productive and reduce hallucinations.

Q&A with the Team
Day 2
#1
Quick recap quiz
Review and Day 2 introduction.
#2
CLI, Tool Calling & MCP servers
How to work with Agents, trigger CLIs, and install & work with MCP Server.
#3
Planning & Specs
how to build PRDs and drive the agent with task lists. We’ll explore Perplexity, GPT Pro, and deep research techniques.
#4
AI First Project building
We combine all our knowledge to push the AI Agent to build our demo project.
Short break
#5
Agentic Error Fixing & Bug Hunting
Start by analyzing the problem, then identify the proper context, and finally, include external tools if they are required.
#6
Opt. Integrate Chat and Project Management Tools
Pulling tickets from Jira/Notion, using Slack bots & custom helpers
#7
Opt. Background Agents
Learn more about Background Agents and PRs (Codex, Cursor Background Agent and Bugbot)

The Ultimate Cursor course helped me understand the more complex features such as composer, file references and working with the codebase. Kevin is also very responsive and happy to help if you get stuck.

Dima
I work in public administration and need calculations for all sorts of tasks. Thanks to Kevin's course, I'm now able to create my own little calculation tools.

Pascal S
I was lucky to be one of the "founding" members :D Thanks @kregenrek!!

Madson Mac
@madsonmacI'm an experienced Software Engineer and I want to use AI to finish my side projects faster. When I want to learn something new I'm always looking for a mentor.

Ren
@N7RenKevin did an incredible job with this course! It’s packed with valuable content and is perfectly for both beginners and experts. 💯

Lukas Gutwinski
@LukasGutwinskiYer the man. Huge thanks for this! 🫡

Rex Harris
@teereximusThanks for this. Super helpful.

Tim Wijaya
@itsTimWijayaAmazing write up 👏

George Siosi Samuels
@GeorgeSiosiKevin is doing an amazing job and he also shares great knowledge on X, so I recommend to follow him. With instructa.ai he is helping people in understanding better how to use AI coding tools. Even that the majority may seem simple to use, they still require some learning, and this is where this platform can help.

Sérgio Gonçalves
@sergiogonaiGreat thread, you did a good job breaking it down and simplifying it for the casuals and the serious.
